SquareTrade © AP6.0 The World-Famous Crazy Dave’s Music is proud to present the Radial Tonebone Headbone Valve (tube) Amp switcher. This model is designed to safely allow you to switch between two tube amp heads using the same cabinet. These are especially great for those new mini tube amps, such as the Tiny Terror by Orange, the full range of small Krank heads, the Vox Night Train and so on. Crazy Dave’s sells all those heads and more =) The Radial Headbone is an advanced amplifier switching device that allows two different guitar amp heads to be used with a single speaker cabinet. With the Headbone, one head could be used for rhythm while a second head could be used for soloing. With 100% discreet Class-A circuitry and choice of either buffered or un-buffered inputs, the Headbone will be of particular interest for players that demand the utmost in tonal performance. The Headbone’s internal switching comprises a sequence of relays, photocells, and load resistors, all of which are controlled via a digitally programmed chip. Hit the footswitch and the Headbone toggles the guitar signal from one amp to the other, disconnects the speaker and diverts the signal to a load resister, reconnects the speaker to the second head and turns on the guitar, all in quick succession. The Headbone features SafeMode™ whereby even when power is disconnected; the Headbone will automatically default to ‘head-1 to cabinet’ status, ensuring a constant load on the amplifier. Headbone comes equipped with Slingshot™, an easy-to-use switching system that uses any standard footswitch to toggle the Headbone’s status remotely, from wherever the footswitch is located. Slingshot lets you keep the amp-to-speaker cables short and efficient and opens up new switching possibilities too. The Headbone is available in 3 models: The VT for two valve/tube heads, the SS for two solid-state heads and the TS for tube to solid-state amp head switching. Guitar Effects Pedals
Welcome to the Effects Center! Our website features the largest collection of specifications, details, photos and information on nearly every type of guitar effects pedals known to man.
How Effects Pedals Work
Stompboxes, or effects pedals, are generally effects units designed to lay on the ground or even a pedalboard and be activated and off with the user's foot. They commonly contain just one effect. Easy and simple stompbox pedals possess a individual footswitch; one to three potentiometers for manipulating the effect, earn or tone; and a single LED indicator to indicate whether or not the effect is on. Some of the most complex stompbox pedals have multiple footswitches, eight to ten knobs, additional controls, and an digital display screen which means the state of the effect with small acronyms (e.g. DLY for "delay").
An "effects chain" or "signal chain" can be created by linking two or more stompboxes. Effect chains are typically created between a preamplifier and the guitar amp. Whenever a pedal is off or inactive, the electric sound signal coming in to the pedal is routed onto a "bypass", producing a "dry" signal which inturn proceeds onto additional effects down the sequence. This way, the effects within a sequence can be combined in a number of ways without needing to reconnect boxes during a performance. A "controller" or "effects control system" provides for several effect string loops to be created, in order that one or more effects can be engaged or disengaged by stomping only one button. The buttons are usually structured consecutively or a basic grid. The most popular pool games around!
The Variety Guitar Effects Pedals
With the breakthroughs in technology in recent years, the quality and variety of guitar stompboxes has grown by leaps and bounds. No longer do you need to buy expensive rack effects to get stunning sounds and extremely high quality. If you can imagine a sound, you can buy an effects pedal to create it, and most will not cost you more than $100 or so, depending on the manufacturer.
Boutique Stomboxes
A recent fad in the guitar effects pedals world is the manufacturing of limited, handmade stompboxes or “boutique effects”. These companies generally produce their effects in significantly lower quantities than the larger, more mass produced models from Boss, Digitech and Dunlop. The boutique pedals are made with many non standard features such as true bypassing capabilities and hand painted stompbox cases. These effects pedals can run into the several hundreds of dollars depending on the effect and the number of pedals produced.
No matter if you’re looking for a simple distortion guitar effects pedal, or you want a full pedalboard of the latest vintage or boutique effects, you have the ability to taylor your sound exactly as you want it, and you can emulate the sounds of some of the most famous guitar players in rock history. We hope you’ll find the information at the EffectsCenter.com to be helpful in your hunt for your unique guitar effects experience.
